CORE DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THIS CLASS:
The fundamental reason this classification exists is to operate Computer-Aided Dispatching and other related communications equipment to quickly and accurately receive and transmit information that is vital to this company and its customers. Work involves evaluating incoming calls to determine the appropriate level of assistance required, dispatching field personnel, and transmitting information and messages upon request and/or according to established procedures. Employees are expected to demonstrate extensive communication skills and to exercise considerable judgment under pressure. Work is performed under the corresponding Supervisor, who is available for immediate consultation on any situation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Ability to efficiently utilize an array of PC-based applications; Outage Management System (OMS), Customer-related accounting system, AMR system (remote disconnects, KWH usage, meter status, etc.), mapping, messaging, etc.
Ability to communicate with others over radio and telephone and to assimilate and understand the information in a manner consistent with the essential functions of this company; to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Ability to use and monitor a Supervisory and Data Acquisition system (SCADA); Prepare and direct switching and operating procedures for distribution, substation, line equipment, and load transfers.
Complete technical outage reports accurately; keep clear and accurate records.
Ability to remain calm and coordinate multiple tasks under pressure.
Ability to read maps and articulate that information to field personnel.
Coordinate staffing requirements of field personnel during storm emergencies or abnormal conditions.
Must be willing to work rotating shift schedules and be available for overtime work when the situation warrants

CORE DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THIS CLASS:
The fundamental reason this classification exists is for a Line Worker to work with a construction crew to install new distribution lines, provide maintenance of distribution lines and services as directed and assist as required in all aspects of the project as directed by the Crew Leader.
PREREQUISITES AND QUALIFICATIONS:Must be able to read and interpret sag charts and have basic knowledge of poly-phase metering hookups. Need to have working knowledge of the National Electrical Code and RUS Specifications. Need to be a principled person with good personal habit as you will be a representative of this company to the general public. Require having basic knowledge of hand tools. Require having a Commercial Driving License (CDL). Require having a minimum of five years of experience as a Line Worker in a Distribution or Transmission Field. Good communication skills and electrical Training are preferred qualifications.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:• Work safely while performing new construction, maintenance or repair work.
• Capable of safely setting poles and anchors.
• Climb into and out of aerial buckets and on and off large trucks.
• Climbing, rigging, and lineman experience required.
• Capable of properly installing and removing PPE and Cover Up.
• Capable of checking voltage on transformers.
• Capable of installing and removing a service.
• Understands how to tie various lineman knots.
• Understands proper equipment set-up and grounding procedures.
• Identify different types of materials used in line work.
• Troubleshooting problems on Distribution systems.
• Works with energized high voltage systems.
• Builds and maintains electrical lines and other electrical facilities.
• Frame poles on the ground.
• Operates heavy and light equipment.
• Responds to service calls and makes repairs.
• Lift, carry and place heavy objects.
• After hour on trouble calls after six months
• Maintains company vehicles, equipment and tools in good working order
• Does all other related work as required to complete the job.

CORE DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THIS CLASS:
The fundamental reason this classification exists is for a Ground-Worker(formerly known as Ground-man) to work with a construction crew to install new distribution lines and provide maintenance of distribution line and services as directed, including digging poles, and anchor holes, installing anchor, framing, setting and aligning poles. This position also assists as required in all manual labor aspects of the project as directed by the Crew leader and Crew Members.PREREQUISITES AND QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent: Must have basic knowledge of hand tools. Must be a principled person with good personal habits as you will be a representative of this company to the general public. Must obtain a valid commercial CDL Driving license within 6 months of hire date. Preferred qualifications include good communications skills and electrical training.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Work with a Crew as a general helper on the Ground,
• Work outside in all weather conditions.
• Assist line crews with setting poles, shoveling, and tamping.
• Framing of poles on the ground.
• Climb poles and operate out of a bucket Truck. Physical requirements include stooping, kneeling, crouching, digging, reaching, climbing ladders and steps, lifting and carrying heavy objects.
• After hours and on trouble calls required after 6 months.
• And other operational duties that may be needed that are not outlined hereNOTE:
